Our Therapeutic approaches

  • Psychotherapy—also known as talk therapy—is a form of treatment that helps a client identify and change unhealthy thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It is a collaborative process that involves a therapist and client working together in a supportive environment to externalize and process verbally.

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy—focuses on teaching a client distress tolerance skills to manage intense emotions, cope with challenging situations, and improve the client’s relationships through interpersonal effectiveness. DBT encourages the client to adopt a nonjudgmental attitude and emphasize acceptance, compassion, and mindfulness as they explore the challenges they are experiencing.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy—focuses on supporting a client in recognizing unhelpful thought processes they engage in, which can contribute to them feeling uncomfortable and experiencing negative emotions, likely leading them to engage in maladaptive behaviors.

  • Creative Art Therapy—focuses on using clinical and evidence-based art therapy interventions as a primary mode of expression and communication. The creative process, as well as the verbal processing of the art product, permits clients to not only express and externalize themselves, but to also gain further understanding, self-awareness, and compassion towards themselves.

  • Fertility Support—focuses on being a supportive presence through active listening, providing comfort and providing education and guidance while an individual/couple navigate their infertility journey.
